Does it have a microphone or listen to me?

No. Beaconly has no microphone. It cannot listen to, record, or monitor you or your conversations.

Does it read my messages?

No. Beaconly is a nudge to check your phone. Your conversations stay on your phone; the device only receives the signal.

Who gets to make it sound?

Only people you add to your trusted list in the companion app. A direct signal from an approved person makes it sound, not an ordinary notification.

Can I turn it off?

Yes. Mute it for an hour, a night, or indefinitely from the device or companion app. You stay in control.

Does it need Wi-Fi?

Yes. Beaconly needs power and your home Wi-Fi to receive signals. It is a household attention device, not an emergency alarm.

Where does it live?

In a room where your people will hear it: the kitchen, a home office, a bedroom, or a shared living space.
